Mindkindly participates in affiliate programs operated by Impact.com, CJ Affiliate, Amazon Associates, and direct affiliate programs run by individual app developers. When you click a link on Mindkindly and subscribe to or purchase a product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate commissions help fund Mindkindly's editorial work. They do not influence which apps we feature, how we rank them, or what we say in our reviews. We earn comparable rates across most apps we cover, and we apply our editorial framework identically regardless of commission structure. Zenelia is different: our owner earns money from it directly, which is why we never rank or score it.

Publisher ownership

Mindkindly is published by Aprici Inc., a Canadian federal corporation. Aprici Inc. also makes Zenelia, a brain training app that we write about on this site. That is a real conflict of interest, and here is how we handle it.

How we handle Zenelia

We don't rank, rate or score Zenelia. It never appears in our best-of lists, numbered rankings, comparison tables, price comparisons, head-to-heads or top picks, and it never receives a score or an Editor's Choice. The framework we use for every other app is documented on our methodology page.

Where mentioning Zenelia helps readers, we place it after the rankings in a separate box labeled "Our own app," with its price, free trial and platform and a link to more information. We don't describe it as the best, the top pick or better than other apps, and we don't make health claims about it. Our article about Zenelia covers its limitations as well as its features.

Every page that mentions Zenelia or covers brain training apps shows the same notice you see at the top of this page: "Disclosure: Mindkindly's owner also makes Zenelia, a brain training app. Keep that in mind when we write about brain training apps." Because of this connection, we don't describe our brain training coverage as independent.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment for placement, ranking position, or favorable reviews. We don't accept review copies of apps in exchange for guaranteed coverage. We don't pull negative reviews because a vendor complains. We don't quote vendor marketing copy without independently verifying claims.

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides and similar regulations in Canada (Competition Bureau guidance) and the EU. We aim to disclose more, not less, than these regulations require.
